Musicians:

Nsimbi is a duo formed by Ugandan hip-hop artist GNL Zamba and American world fusion artist Miriam Tamar. Building on the acoustic sounds and indigenous instruments of Africa, Nsimbi blends contemporary elements of hip-hop and spoken word with English/Western songwriting techniques and vocals to merge the traditional with the modern.

Violinist, vocalist, and composer Chloe Pourmorady is a brave new voice in the modern world music landscape. With an ensemble of dynamic musicians ranging from Argentina to Egypt to Israel, Chloe fuses soulful Persian roots withJewish, Balkan, classical, and avant-garde sensibilities sprouting the creation of Chloe Pourmorady Ensemble.

Guest Speaker: Farah Shamolian is the Program Director of IsraAID. She is a public health professional with experience in public health education, reproductive health, maternal and child health, emergency response to global disasters including directly working with refugees in Thessaloniki, Greece.
